The Blues have Tottenham breathing down their necks in the chase for fourth spot and a Champions League berth next season, and have not won away in the Premier League since Boxing Day.
Nobody was more delighted at last weekend’s Wembley derby win than fans’ favourite SWP, even though his short spell with Chelsea yielded an FA Cup winner’s medal when they beat United in 2007.
He said: “We’re going back to Wembley next month but we have to put that to the back of our minds for now - we have to concentrate on finishing in that Champions League spot.
“We’re all ready for this game. Blackburn’s always a hard place to go, and we know how hard it’s going to be again, so we’ll have to have our wits about us and be prepared for a tough one.
“They did well against us earlier this season with a 1-1 draw, and to be fair I don’t think they ever play badly against us. I don’t think it’s going to be any different on Monday night.

“They are going to put everything into trying to get three points, so we know we have to be ready for that.”
Shauny admitted: “Wembley was great for me, because I’ve been here from being a kid and it’s taken me most of my career to get there wearing a light blue shirt so I’m delighted.
“It definitely means more to me than getting there with Chelsea. When you’ve spent so many years with a club, then to be here and achieve that is really cool.
“I knew there’d be so many of our fans they were always going to be louder, but they were unbelievable. It was fantastic to see them - I know it means as much to them as it does to me.”
