Dedryck Boyata has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old Belgian international defender, a stalwart of the FA Youth Cup winning side in 2008, broke into the senior set-up when Roberto Mancini took over during an injury crisis in December 2009.
He comfortably handled his surprise FA Cup debut at Middlesbrough, and made his Premier League bow as a substitute against Blackburn in January, 2010.
His five starts in 2009-10 included the Carling Cup semi-final derby, and he won the Young Player of the Year award at the end of the campaign. He made four Premier League starts last season.
