Following his City debut the other night, Gael Clichy has hit the roof - of the House of Fraser store on Deansgate in Manchester city centre!

The amiable Frenchman went before the lens of club photographer Sharon Latham for a fashion shoot that you will see in the next issue of ManC, the official MCFC magazine. Our famously, er, “changeable” weather held off for Sharon to get her shots of Gael strutting his stuff under the watchful eye of Kim, stylist from Harvey Nichols.

Gael thought he’d lost this pair of shoes but responded well to the old adage of “they’re probably where you left them”.

There was no chance of bad light stopping play with this enormo-lamp to hand...

...although things looked iffy when Gael realised he’d forgotten to record “Flog It!”

He thought he’d try to make a quick getaway down a fire escape, like you see in all the best 70s cop movies, but Sharon was lying in wait for that one final shot.

There’ll be plenty more from this shoot in the next issue of ManC, which will hit the streets in early September.
