Shaun Wright-Phillips insists he has only one thing on his mind – success – as the season reaches its final hectic weeks.

The England winger started in the 0-0 Europa League draw against Aris and then declared his future at City was off the agenda.

Wright-Phillips, who has bounced back into favour in recent weeks after it appeared he might leave in the transfer window, just wants to get on with playing and winning.

“To be quite honest it is not about my future at the minute,” he stressed.

“I am happy and I am playing at the moment and I am just concentrating on doing well for the last three months for the club.

“To me that is the main thing. If I can help City win something that is great.

When the bridge comes about my future I will cross it then

Meanwhile he felt the team had shown good character coming from Old Trafford and fighting hard for a draw.

“It was bumpy out there and you had to watch the ball to the last minute and sometimes that made us lose out on a key pass,” he went on.

“To come back from a defeat at the weekend and come to a hard place like this and get a draw it is a stepping stone. What we have to do next time is when we get chances take them.”

Teammate Joe Hart also declared the stalemate in Greece a good result in the context of the competition.

“It is not a bad result we need to come here and first and foremost not get beat. It was a really tough environment and I thought the lads did well,” he said.

“The only reason it was 0-0 was their keeper made two great saves.”
