The manager went on record to say that it was ‘bad for his heart’ that Wolves (three) and Leicester (two) should have found ways to stay in games that ought to have been beyond them.
“Things are going well, but I am disappointed – very disappointed – with the goals we conceded in the last game,” he bemoaned.
“I was very disappointed with all the players who were marking at set pieces and corners.”
Despite the manager’s annoyance, central defender Kompany is confident that the team will get back to its miserly ways sooner rather than later.
“Aston Villa has Darren Bent in their side on Saturday night. That will give them a lift and he is a really top class striker but the better the opposition the better I feel I play and we play,” declared the Belgian international.
“We have let a few goals in recently and that is disappointing but we defend as a team.

Work is what the central defender thrives upon.
“I never ask to take a rest because the more I play the better I like it,” he smiled.
“It is all about recovery between matches and I am glad the manager keeps picking me. It has been a good season so far and now we must keep it going at Villa.”
