Keiran Trippier will spend the 2011/12 season on loan at Burnley.
The 20-year-old City Academy graduate, who can play at either right-back or on the right of midfield, joins fellow Blue Ben Mee at Turf Moor.
He scored a fine goal for the Elite Development side at Altrincham earlier in July and was praised by coach Andy Welsh for an outstanding performance in last Saturday’s defeat to Espanyol in Barcelona.
