Voting is now open for the April Etihad Player of the Month.

As ever, there are several outstanding candidates and we need your help to choose the player who has gone just that little bit further over the past few weeks. And if you pick the winner, you could meet him at the Carrington training ground!

To assist you in selecting a winner, we’ve narrowed down the outstanding performers to the following quintet:

Nigel de Jong: The Dutch master has been at his imperious best and significantly the only goals City conceded in April, that defeat at Anfield, came when Nigel did not play. He finally got on the scoresheet with a sweet long-range strike against West Ham - OK, that was in May, but who’s going to argue with Nigel?

Vincent Kompany: March’s winner was just as good in April, wearing the captain’s armband with aplomb in the absence of Carlos Tevez, and he was named in the PFA’s Team of the Season.

Joe Hart: That brilliant save to deny Berbatov was a pivotal moment at Wembley, but he was in terrific form for the rest of the month.

Yaya Toure: The Ivorian powerhouse wrote himself into City history with that goal in the semi-final, but he was also on target against Sunderland and made all opposition shudder throughout April.

Pablo Zabaleta: The popular Argentinean was outstanding in the win over United, and he really took one for the team when he bore the brunt of the challenge that saw Paul Scholes sent off.

To vote for your favourite and have the chance to present the award to the winner at Carrington in person, simply follow this link, select your choice and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw.

Voting closes at midnight on 9 May.
