Skipper Vincent Kompany hailed City's Latin strikeforce as Carlos Tevez and Kun Aguero hit Norwich with a sumptuous Argentine tango.

The Belgian powerhouse felt that the 6-1 winning display not only banished memories of a dip in form of late, but that it would spur on the side for the rest of what has been a high octane campaign.

“It was a great performance,” declared Vincent. “I’ve seen so many guys fight and give everything on the pitch and that’s all I needed so I’m happy with that.

“Enough has been said  all we had to do was go out and play. There has to be not too much talkin we just go out and play. We realised that for a couple of months we did not perform at our best, and today with Carlos and Kun up front it was not just about the goals, we were fired by their performance and workrate.

“In defence we were strong and in midfield we won our battles, so it was very positive. We just have to finish the season with no regrets and perform at very high standard.”
