City midfielder Omar Elabdellaoui has been speaking to Dutch media about his desire to get more game time at loan club Feyenoord.

The 21-year-old played 62 minutes of De Stadionclub’s 3-2 win over ADO Den Haag at the weekend, but has started just a handful of times for Ronald Koeman’s side.

“Of course I was hoping for more playing time in the first team,” Elabdellaoui told NU Sport.

“It has not always been easy, but I’m enjoying myself at Feyenoord and try to work hard to get better.

“It felt good to be back against NAC Breda and I hope during the upcoming matches I can get more time on the field.”

Elsewhere, Roque Santa Cruz came close to putting his name on the score sheet again as Malaga recorded a 2-0 win over local rivals Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The result consolidates Los Boquerones fourth place in La Liga.

Back home and Reece Wabara’s Oldham Athletic suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Swindon meaning they drop to 16th in the npower League 1.
