Scott Sinclair says he is enjoying life at the Etihad and is eager to make his mark when he gets the nod from manager Roberto Mancini.

The 23-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances for the Blues since his switch from Swansea in the summer, but despite this, he believes he has made the right move.

“I’ve settled in very well at the club,” he revealed.

“Hopefully I can get more game time and get on the pitch a bit more, but at the same time I have to be patient and wait my turn.

“Obviously I came from Swansea and City is a different club, but I am adapting well and I just have to be patient. The important thing is that I’m learning every day.

“One of the biggest changes I have found is the winning mentality here. Being at City you want to win trophies and you want to win every game.

“At Swansea the important thing was staying in the league and battle on, so that has been the main difference for me.”

Sinclair got off to a bright beginning with the Blues, starting against both Stoke and Arsenal back in September.

But, since then, the winger has clocked up just 15 minutes playing time in the Premier League – coming off the bench against West Ham and Aston Villa.

However, it is testament to his work ethic and determination that this does not deter him in his desire to succeed.

“I knew it was going to be difficult, it was one of the hardest routes I could have taken, but in order to become a better player, you have to play with the best players,” he admitted.

I’m doing that now and hopefully my time will come and I will get the chance to play and show everyone what I can do.

“The important thing is that I keep moving forward and improving and like I say, when my time comes around it’s important that I take my chances.

“It’s all about the timing and the impact when I come on. If I get five minutes or if I start the game, I’ve got to cause some trouble for the opposition and make an impression.”
