Ben Mee, former skipper of City's 2008 FA Youth Cup-winning side, has joined Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
The lifelong City fan has been on a season-long loan at Turf Moor and manager Eddie Howe has decided to make the move permanent, agreeing a deal that will last until 2015.
Mee made just one appearance for City during a 2-1 Carling Cup defeat to West Brom last season and later spent time on loan with Leicester. Despite a handful of appearances on the bench, he has since found first team opportunities limited.
Mee joins fellow former Academy team-mate Kieran Trippier who joined the Clarets last week.
A popular lad with the players and staff at City, everyone wishes Ben every success with his new club.
