The City skipper missed both legs of the Carling Cup semi-final with Liverpool plus the Premier League victories over Wigan and Spurs.
Now, with batteries fully recharged, he is aiming to drive the Blues towards a first league title since 1968 and with just 16 games remaining, the Belgium star is sure the squad have the right stuff to keep ahead of the pack.
“There is a belief in the team that we can become even stronger towards the end of the season and that’s very important,” said Kompany.
“From now until the end of the campaign is when you need to show your real strength, both physically and mentally.
“We are set up quite nicely for the finish and we’re sure we’re going to get even stronger in the weeks to come.”
Though City face one of their traditional bogey teams at Goodison Park, Kompany thinks there is no reason why the Blues can’t take all three points – and continue to win until the end of the season.
“I don’t see why we can’t win all of our remaining games,” he said.
“Right now, it’s going to be about constancy and if we just keep doing what we’re doing and don’t get side-tracked with all the talk in the newspapers and suchlike, teams will find it hard to beat us.

“Gareth Barry has been very important to us and Yaya Toure has been very influential... I can keep going on and on.
“It’s not just a coincidence that we’re top of the league; it’s because many players have done their job well and if we want to mention names we could go on forever.”
Though the City skipper admits he found it hard to watch his team-mates from the side-lines, he is proud of spirit the squad have shown during his absence and he believes it proves there is strength in depth within the squad.
“Players have stepped up and that’s important,” he said.
“That gives us even more self-belief, especially when you see other players perform in the manner they have.
“Now we know that if anything else happens this season or in the future, those players will be there and it makes us even stronger.”
