City winger Jeremy Helan has agreed a month-long loan deal with Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

Dave Jones’ team are currently on a three match losing streak and are precariously placed one position above the drop zone in 21st in the npower Championship.

Helan had been on loan at League One Shrewsbury Town where he made three appearances, the latest of which came in 10 November’s 2-1 defeat to Leyton Orient.

The versatile Frenchman has joined the first-team for their pre-season tours for the past three summers and featured in the friendlies against Besitkas, Al Hilal and Dynamo Dresden earlier this year.

A former French youth international, the 20-year old signed for City from Rennes in November 2008 and has made seven appearances for the Elite Development Squad in the Barclays U21 Premier League this season.

Jeremy is due to return at the end of December.

Meanwhile, Reece Wabara’s loan spell at Oldham Athletic has been extended to 5 January 2013. Reece has made 14 appearances for Paul Dickov’s side and has been winning rave reviews in League One.
