Manchester City’s Yaya Toure has made the shortlist for two prestigious football accolades in his native Africa.

The Blues midfielder has been nominated for both the BBC African Footballer of the Year and the Confederation of African Football’s Player of the Year Award – which he collected last year.

“I am very honoured to have been nominated for both of these awards,” smiled Yaya.
