Edin Dzeko admitted he was delighted to score the goals that gave City a dramatic 2-1 win at West Brom.

Dzeko scored in the 80th and 91st minutes after only being on the pitch for 60 seconds as ten-man City came from behind to win 2-1 and maintain his side’s unbeaten Premier League start.

With Bosnian now the Blues’ top scorer with six goals this season, he will be hoping to get the nod against Ajax on Wednesday - though for now, he is just happy he helped change the game.

“I enjoyed scoring those two goals and right now, I’m super happy,” he beamed.

“I took my shirt off and ran over to the City fans after my second because I didn’t know what else to do! It is hard to play for 70 minutes with just ten players but even though we were a man down, we still created a lot of chances.

“We showed character and I think we really deserved three points. As for me, I’m just happy that I helped the team win and was able to play my part.

“The manager knows I am there if he needs me and I had 15 minutes to try and help the team score two goals, which we did. We were better than West Brom today and this was the right result, I think.

“It’s my job to score goals and this win meant a lot to the team and our fans and I am so happy right now.”
