Team News

City: New signing Benjamin Mendy, Ilkay Gundogan and David Silva will miss out through injury with the latter hoping to be ready for the first game of the season against Brighton.

Bernardo Silva and Claudio Bravo are yet to join up with the squad after their involvement in the Confederations Cup this summer.

Spurs: Mauricio Pochettino will be without four first team players with Danny Rose, Heung-Min Son, Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko missing from the squad that travelled to the US through injury.

Last Time

The latest meeting between the two sides came in late January 2017 when the two sides shared the points in a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Goals from Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne established a 2-0 lead before Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son levelled for the away side.

Gabriel Jesus made his first appearance for the Club as a substitute in the final ten minutes and thought he’d won it late on but his effort was ruled out for offside.
