Team news

City will remain without John Stones who suffered a hamstring injury during City’s last Premier League clash away against Leicester.

Long-term absentee Benjamin Mendy is still recovering from anterior cruciate ligament damage, and won’t feature for the Blues.

For Huddersfield, Philip Billing (ankle), Michael Hefele (achilles) and Jon Stankovic (ACL Knee) all look likely to remain out until January with their injuries.

Referee

Craig Pawson will take charge of Sunday’s match, with Lee Betts and Ian Hussin as his assistants.

Last time

City last met Huddersfield back in March this year when they faced David Wagner’s side at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup fifth round replay.

Pep Guardiola’s men secured an emphatic 5-1 win over Huddersfield.

Initially the visitors took the lead at the Etihad after Harry Bunn’s early goal, but the Blues responded in style as Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero (2), Pablo Zabaleta and Kelechi Iheanacho knocked five past ‘keeper Joel Coleman to gain the victory.
