Team news

Gabriel Jesus (knee) and Benjamin Mendy (knee)will miss this game due to injury. 

David SilvaLeroy Sane and Fabian Delph are all fit again and could return at St Jakob-Park.

For Basel, ‘keeper Germano Vailati looks to remain out and has been on the sidelines since October last year, but manager Raphael Wicky has revealed defensive midfielder Luca Zuffi is back in training and could return to the side.

Last time

We are yet to play our Round of 16 opponents and our trip to St. Jakob Park will mark the first competitive meeting between City and FC Basel.

Road to round of 16

We booked our spot in the Round of 16 after topping group F with 15 points following five wins and a loss to Shakhtar Donetsk.

City sat at the summit of the group table to Shakhtar, Napoli and Feyenoord.
