When and where

Manchester City travel to the Cardiff City Stadium to face the Bluebirds in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The game is set to take place on Sunday 28 January, kick-off at 4pm (GMT), and fans living in the UK can watch the game live on BBC One.

Team news

Fabian Delph (knee), Phil Foden (ankle), Gabriel Jesus (knee) and Benjamin Mendy (knee) remain sidelined for the Blues. Pep Guardiola confirmed Kyle Walker is fit to play.

For Cardiff, it looks unlikely for Lee Peltier (hip), Matt Connolly (calf), Aron Gunnarsson (knee), Craig Bryson (achilles) and Danny Ward (knee) to feature on Sunday.

“It’s been the easiest week of training. 

“We’ve just been chasing shadows to get used to it.

“We’ve haven’t had a ball out at all. It’s been great.

“We’ve just been throwing up a few pieces of paper in the wind for the players to chase.”

Last time

City last met Cardiff back in 2014, during a Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium.

The Blues secured a 4-2 home win, with City’s goals courtesy of Edin Dzeko, Jesus Navas, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero, while Craig Noone and Fraizer Campbell grabbed two back for the Welsh side.

Lee Mason will take charge of the proceeding on Sunday, with Simon Long and Simon Beck as his assistants.

FA Cup form

City sailed into the fourth round of the FA Cup following a 4-1 home win over Premier League side Burnley, with goals from Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and two from Sergio Aguero.

While Cardiff secured their place in the next stage of the competition after also sealing a 4-1 victory over Mansfield in the third round replays.
