Team news

City: We’ll find out at Friday’s pre-match press conference whether Vincent Kompany is fit enough to return, but Benjamin Mendy, Gabriel Jesus and Phil Foden will miss out.

Fabian Delph limped off against Liverpool and we’ll have to wait to know whether it’s an injury which will rule him out of Saturday’s game.

Newcastle: Defenders Jesus Gamez and Florian Lejune are both sidelined with injury.

The Magpies’ previous game against Swansea came too early for Aleksandar Mitrovic, but the striker is back in light training and Rafa Benitez has said he is not too far away from a return.
