City

Raheem Sterling (back) has been passed fit for the match

Kevin De Bruyne is out after sustaining a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) lesion in training.

The Chilean ‘keeper underwent scans, which confirmed a rupture in the tendon of his left foot.

Danilo also remains doubtful with a foot injury, which he picked up during the group stages of the World Cup, but Pep Guardiola stated that the Brazilian is ‘doing well.’ 

Fulham

Tom Cairney (foot) and Tim Ream (thigh), while Neeskens Kebano (ankle) is not expected to return until the end of September.

The pair have met 63 times in all competitions.

City have triumphed on 30 occasions and Fulham 17, while there have been 16 draws.

The last time

We last faced the London outfit back in March 2014 in the Premier League.

Yaya Toure bagged a hat-trick, as City ran out 5-0 winners. Fernandinho and Martin Demichelis were also on the scoresheet.

“I understood when I watched them (Fulham) the reason why they are in the Premier League. They have really good players, experienced players and they try and (I like) the way they want to play.

“They want to make their own game, and I’m pretty sure Slavisa Jokanovic is going to make a good season.”
