Team News

United: Luke Shaw is available after completing his suspension, but Phil Jones is a doubt after picking up a knock in the defeat to Everton.

City: Kevin De Bruyne is out for City having picked up a muscle problem in the win over Tottenham. Otherwise Guardiola has a close to fully fit squad.

Last Time Out

The Blues claimed local bragging rights back in November thanks to a dominant 3-1 win at the Etihad.

David Silva cut onto his right foot inside the box to fire us into an early lead, before Sergio Aguero powered an effort over David De Gea from a tight angle to put us two up before the 50-minute mark.

Anthony Martial reduced the deficit against the run of play just after the hour, but Ilkay Gundogan’s late finish from Riyad Mahrez’s angled cross sealed a memorable and deserved victory.

Pep Guardiola preview:

“We have four games left so we have to win all four to retain title.

“It’s not easy place to go but at same time it’s a nice place to go. We know exactly what we have to do. We’re going to go there to do a good game.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preview:

“I would like to think [I am the right man for the job]. I like all these boys – I love them.

“But I’ve got to manage for the club and I am managing the club and the players – I’ve got to put all my effort into making sure we do what is right for the club.

“There’s always a crisis at Manchester United whenever you lose a game or two – Manchester City and Liverpool are [the only] two teams who’ve taken more points in last 18 games. The boys have done fantastic. We’ve lost three out of the last five league games – that’s a bit too many, but that’s football. The way we lost at Everton was the worst performance.”
