City

Pep Guardiola has revealed that captain Vincent Kompany will not be available for selection due to a muscular problem. 

Benjamin Mendy and Ederson could be in contention.

Claudio Bravo is a long-term absentee. 

Arsenal

Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny is available again after a jaw injury and could play.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles faces a late fitness test on a knee problem.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be in contention after recovering from a foot injury, but Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin and Danny Welbeck remain out.

Last time out

The game between the two sides at the Etihad last season saw City win 3-0. 

And in the reverse fixture on the opening day of this campaign, City won 2-0 thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva.
