Patrick Roberts has spent the last season and a half on loan with Celtic and could be set to win the treble when the Hoops face Aberdeen in the Scottish cup final at the end of the month.
Roberts believes he has learned a lot from his time in Glasgow that will help him when he looks to start making his mark on the City squad.
Speaking to the Daily Record, he said: “I signed for City two years ago with an aim of playing for them. I had no idea I was going to come here. This was a learning curve and an experience I had to take on fully as a young player.
“City is also a massive club and when I return there I must be confident and believe in my own ability and see where it takes me.
“As a mark, I’d probably score my move here more than 10 – the highest you could give. It’s been a great season, unbelievable and enjoyable. We’ve been playing brilliant football.
“My game has come on this year, technically and tactically, and that’s important. The desire to win every single game is crucial, even if you go to places that are tough and the opposition sit in.
“It’s about finding a way to break them down and you must learn that from a young age. Winning every game is crucial and I have that winning mentality which I can take into any team I play in.”
Elsewhere, one of the first transfer sagas of the summer is under way with several clubs supposedly battling it out for Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac.
TalkSPORT believe: “Schalke star Sead Kolasinac is expected to decide between offers from AC Milan, Arsenal and Manchester City next week.
“Kolasinac is out of contract in the summer and Schalke are resigned to losing one of their key players, who is now weighing up his future.
“According to Bild, Kolasinac is yet to make a final decision on where he will play his football next term but will decide imminently.”
Finally, Portuguese newspaper O Jogo also believe City are looking for a left-back but they feel City’s interest is focused mainly on Juventus’ Alex Sandro.
Bruno Andrade speculates: “Thinking about the summer market, Manchester City started the first contacts to hire left-back Alex Sandro and are willing to pay approximately 50 million euros to get him out of Juventus.
“The Brazilian international is already aware of the interest of the English club but prefers to stay away from the negotiations because he is focused in the final part of the season and having the chance to win three titles.”
