First up, we begin with Yaya’s ultimate line-up.

Toure named a number of City stars in his XI while on Sky Sports, including Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and Vincent Kompany. He also named Ederson in goal, stating he is “one of the best” ‘keeper’s he’s ever played with.
Yaya explained: “I think with his hands and his legs, he’s one of the best I’ve played with.
“Victor Valdes was good with his legs, but was average to be honest. He was not bad, but at Barcelona he didn’t have to do much.”
High praise, indeed!
Next we move on to the media’s ratings from last night’s 3-0 victory over Wolves. A Gabriel Jesus brace, plus an own goal from Conor Coady saw us seal three crucial points at the Etihad, narrowing the gap to just four points between us and Liverpool once again.
In the Manchester Evening News’ ratings, Stuart Brennan scribes: “David Silva - On the night he broke City’s Premier League appearances record, again reminded us of his enduring class - hardly gave up possession and forced the penalty. 8.”
While on Jesus, Brennan said: “Those goals have restored his rocky confidence - it wasn’t just being in the right spot for the first, and the perfection of the penalty - his approach work was excellent. 9.”
ESPN’s Johnathan Smith hailed City’s “dominant display” in his evaluation of the clash.
“The ease with which Wolves were brushed aside was reminiscent of City performances in their record-breaking title triumph rather than their uncharacteristic blip before Christmas,” Smith explained.
“Wolves have taken nine points off top-six sides this season, including a point off the champions at Molineux, but City pulled them apart with a dominant and stylish display.”
On Jesus, Smith writes: “Couldn’t buy a goal in the first few months of the season and now he can’t stop scoring.
“Claimed his sixth and seventh in three games with a typical poacher’s finish and a penalty.”
Smith also picked out Sane as one of the stars of the evening.
“The German winger is right at the top of his game,” the journalist states. “Delivered an inch-perfect cross for the opener and was a constant threat on the left flank.”
