Pep’s side ran out to a 2-0 lead at half time with goals from captain, Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan. Raheem Sterling also had two chances to put the game to bed but couldn’t convert.
As the second half got underway, Gundogan had an opportunity to score his second but the ball flew agonisingly wide of De Gea’s left post.
Paul Pogba then scored two goals in two minutes to tie the game. Chris Smalling added Manchester United’s third to give the rivals the lead and ultimately the win.
