Manchester City booked our ticket into the Carabao Cup semi-finals with a dramatic fifth-round victory away at Leicester City.

In a carbon copy of last season’s fixtures, the Blues emerged triumphant in the East Midlands after a penalty shoot-out, winning 3-1 on spot-kicks after the sides had been tied 1-1 over 90 minutes.

Keeper Aro Muric was the Blues’ hero, saving two of Leicester’s penalties before Oleksandr Zinchenko converted the match-winning spot-kick.

Kevin De Bruyne – making his first start in more than six weeks – had earlier given the Blues a 14th lead with a stunning shot.

However, Marc Albrighton levelled for the hosts on 74 minutes to set up the tense finale.
