Manchester City produced a superb display as we put Shakhtar Donetsk to the sword, recording a fine 3-0 win in the Ukraine in our latest Champions’ League group clash.
First half goals from David Silva and Aymeric Laporte and a third from substitute Bernardo Silva helped make it two wins from two on the road in Europe following last month’s 2-1 win at Hoffenheim.
The victory was no less than Pep Guardiola’s side deserved and was just reward for a quite wonderful all-round display at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv.
And with Hoffenheim and Lyon drawing in their Group F game it means City top the table at the halfway stage with six points.
