City's focus trained on Cardiff

Manchester City were back at work at the CFA on Thursday as attention reverted back to the Premier League and Saturday’s visit to newly-promoted Cardiff.

After a frustrating opening encounter in the Champions League at home to Lyon, the trip to the Cardiff City Stadium offers Pep Guardiola’s players an immediate opportunity to bounce back to winning ways.

And the players were keen to get straight back on the training paddock with the focus firmly fixed on seeking to secure a fifth league win out of six.

The Blues have already tasted success at the South Wales venue this year, having recorded a 2-0 win against Neil Warnock’s side in the FA Cup last January.
