The Portuguese international right-back completed a move from Juventus to Pep Guardiola’s side yesterday afternoon which keeps him at the club until 2025.

Capable of playing on either flank, the former Valencia and Benfica man was part of his country’s squad which picked up the inaugural Nations’ League title back in June.
But there was no chance of Joao resting on his laurels as he got stuck in straight away ahead of Saturday’s Premier League curtain-raiser away to West Ham United.
The team were clearly excited to get to know their new teammate and to see him in action with smiles all round a sunny CFA.
