A blast from Manchester City's recent past was back at the CFA today as the Blues returned to training after our Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash against Burton.

Former Blues striker Martin Petrov braved a chilly, foggy Manchester day to exchange greetings with Sergio Aguero and assistant coach Mikel Arteta amongst others as the City players got back to work less than 12 hours after our remarkable 9-0 win over the Brewers.

The Bulgarian spent three years with the Blues between 2007 and 2010 and couldn’t contain his delight at being back at his old stomping ground.

Gabriel Jesus, fresh from his four-goal heroics against Burton, and Phil Foden – who has now scored twice in successive games at the Etihad – were amongst those being put through their paces.
