The manager picked an experienced lineup, with his most experienced player of the lot, David Silva opening the scoring a quarter of an hour into the game with a delicate chip.

Goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling gave City a comfortable lead at the break and Sane added our fourth less than 10 minutes into the second half.

Guardiola rotated his side throughout the game, giving some of City’s youngsters even more preseason experience.

The experience turned into moments to remember for Nabil Touaizi and Iker Pozo who both scored their first senior goals either side of a Kitchee consolation.
