The young Ukrainian has worked his way into Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans and has signed a three-year contract extension following an impressive 2018/19 campaign.
It’s a deal which keeps the 22-year-old at the Club until the summer of 2024 and allows him to build on the progress and contribution he has made as part of Guardiola’s all-conquering squad.
Since his debut in the Carabao Cup in October 2017, Zinchenko has turned out 43 times, netting one goal and providing five assists, whilst adding two Premier Leagues, two Carabao Cups, an FA Cup and the Community Shield to his medal collection.
Initially providing cover for the injured Benjamin Mendy, Zinchenko has produced a series of impressive performances at full-back, particularly in the 2018/19 season.
A well-liked figure off the pitch, he’s also provided CityTV with some equally memorable moments.
