10-man City shared the Champions League spoils with Atalanta on what was a night of high drama in the San Siro as the sides fought out a 1-1 draw.

City made the perfect start at the San Siro, taking an eighth minute lead through Raheem Sterling’s sharp close-range finish.

Having dominated the opening 45 minutes, City then missed a chance to double our lead as Gabriel Jesus was wide with a 42nd minute penalty.

Goalkeeper Ederson was replaced by Claudio Bravo as an injury precaution at the break but with five minutes the hosts had levelled.

Atalanta striker Mario Palasic headed home after evading the Blues’ defence.

The drama continued with Bravo then receiving an 81st minute red card after bringing down llicic outside the area with substitute Kyle Walker coming on to replace him in goal.

He kept his cool in a frenzied atmosphere to help City claim a point and move another step nearer towards qualifying for the last 16.
