The players know three points is far from a foregone conclusion at St James’ Park, but there were no signs of pre-match jitters with the team focused on the task in hand whilst still finding the time to have some fun ahead of the match.
The winter sun was out in force and seemed to put a smile on the players’ faces, but they still had to wrap up warm to fight off the late November frost!

After reaching the Champions League knockout stages for a seventh season in a row, Pep Guardiola’s men will be keen to build some momentum ahead of the busy festive period.
However, Saturday’s opponents have not tasted defeat on home soil since the opening day of the season, winning two and drawing three of their other five matches in the North East.
And while that fact should not be sniffed at, the team were in high spirits at a sunny CFA ahead of the trip.
