Manchester City Women will look to secure their third win over Everton Ladies this season when Nick Cushing's side travel to Widnes on Sunday.

Having already clinched a pair of victories over the Merseysiders without conceding a goal this campaign, the Manchester outfit travel to the Select Security Stadium in the hope of extending their unbeaten run to three.

City head into the clash on the back of an impressive win over Chelsea Ladies in the Continental Cup, which sent Cushing’s side through to their first ever cup final.

A solitary Toni Duggan strike proved enough for the triumph and the striker is one of many who will be facing their former employers on Sunday afternoon.

Everton currently lie bottom of the table in the FA Women’s Super League, having notched just four points on the board all season.

City on the other hand are sixth, level on points with Bristol Academy after ten games.

Though a challenge for the league title now looks a tall order, MCWFC will be looking to finish the season strongly in preparation for their cup final clash with Arsenal on 16 October.

Kick-off for the trip to Everton is at 2pm BST at the Select Security Stadium, Widnes, WA8 7DZ. If you can’t make it though, we’ll have a match report right here on mcfc.co.uk after full-time.
