The Scottish international - signed from Montpellier in December - is no stranger to fighting for silverware, having enjoyed a glittering career so far and hopes to add to her collection of medals with Nick Cushing’s side.
Although the Blues are in excellent form, winning their last five in succession, the 24-year-old has wisely warned the club should remain grounded and concentrate on taking maximum points from each of their remaining matches - starting with Sunday’s mouth-watering trip to Arsenal Ladies.
She told mcfc.co.uk: “We’re feeling good and we’re on a bit of a roll right now with five wins behind us. Everyone’s looking forward to this weekend.
“We should take one game at a time and try not to get too ahead of ourselves. We’re on a good run but we have to focus and hope we can get the best out of every game.
“Each one feels like the biggest game of the season - they all feel like cup finals because they’re all ‘must-wins’ - and this one will be no different.
Both teams will be out to win. It would be silly for teams to think they can draw games and get away with it.
“There are not many matches in a year so dropping two points wouldn’t suit any team, especially with games coming thick and fast.
“Before you know it, teams will be running out of games to pick up points and every point really does matter. You can’t be willing to settle for anything less than a win, wherever you are in the table.
“Our attitude will be exactly the same going into this game as it has for any other and hopefully, we’ll come away with three points again.”
The trip to Boreham Wood will see Beattie return to her old stomping ground. During her time at Arsenal, she secured seven major honours and earned a name for herself as a scorer of stunning goals.
After joining French club Montpellier, the defensive midfielder then opted to move back to England, joining City to embark on a new challenge.
Although she admits it will feel a bit strange to revisit her former employers on Sunday, she asserts sentiment will not interfere with her focus.
“It’s the first time I’ll have gone back since I left so it will be nice to see some familiar faces but I’m sure I won’t be thinking about anything but the game on the day,” she stated.
“Arsenal are such a great club and I guess it’s a little disappointing they have not turned professional after they had been through such a successful period.
Every female player in England wants to train full-time. For whatever reason, they haven’t made that transition but hopefully they will do one day.
“In my situation, I feel like I’m in the best place. I’m able to train full-time and the staff and facilities are incredible - the Academy Stadium is amazing and the surface of the pitch is the best in England for women’s football - any player would want that.”
Reflecting on the recent surge in interest in the women’s game and specifically, attendances across the country, Beattie said: “The support on the back of England’s success at the World Cup has been fantastic and long may it continue.
“The only thing we can focus on is the football and the rest will hopefully take care of itself.
“We can only hope that as long as we’re putting in good performances, people will want to come back and enjoy the same experience.”
