The Blues’ shot-stopper, who has just jetted off to the Cyprus Cup with England, told mcfc.co.uk she’s delighted to have a packed schedule from now until the start of the new FA Women’s Super League campaign, which includes time out for some fun as well as continuing her pre-season preparations.
Representing her country this week is just the start of a hectic month for the club’s season launch celebration on 14 March.
After that, two weeks of hard work remain until the new campaign kicks-off with a trip to Birmingham, and England are back in action at the start of April, as the Academy Stadium hosts its first ever international game - a send-off for the Three Lionesses ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
With so much to look forward to, Bardsley declared she could not be happier, smiling: “We’re certainly very busy at the moment!
“I’m looking forward to going away to Cyprus with the girls. We’ve made a lot of progress since we played Germany and the USA. We’re looking to build on that when we go to Cyprus and hopefully get some sun while we’re there!
“I’m really excited the FA have teamed up with City to host the game against China at our new stadium. It’s the perfect venue for women’s football and I’m really looking forward to what the partnership is going to bring.
“It will be a hot ticket and it’ll be a fantastic opportunity for football in the north west. It’s a great hub for people and it’s so easy to get to so hopefully, we’ll have a fantastic crowd and the place will be jumping.
“It also gives us the chance to showcase the facilities we have here at the CFA. I don’t think anyone expected it to be as amazing as it is.
“It’s a fantastic facility and to come and train here everyday - to be able to be in this environment - is so wonderful and perfect for good sessions and development.
“That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day. It’s really conducive with generating good football. We couldn’t expect anything better than what we’ve got - this is the elite of the elite.
“A lot of people haven’t had the opportunity to come and have a look around. When we played Aston Villa, that was our first game in the stadium and I think they were pretty impressed.
“We’re trying to make a fortress and use this facility to our advantage. It’s quite imposing so if people are intimidated just by our facility, good for us!”
On the subject of the season launch event, Bardsley asserted she thinks it’s a great idea and is excited to spend a day of festivity and fun with the fans.
She stated: “It’s a great opportunity for everyone to get to know us on an intimate scale and celebrate what we’ve achieved and what we hope to achieve this season.
“We want to make it a bit more about the community - making sure our fans feel valued and welcome at the club, while making sure they know they’re a massive part of everything we do.
“I don’t think they realise how important they are to us so if they want to come along and have a good time, we’d love to see them!”
