Nikita Parris' impressive form for Manchester City Women has earned public acclaim.

The forward has been named Sky’s Sportswoman of the Month for June, following a string of influential displays for the Super League leaders.

With 46% of the vote, she won by a landslide, beating stiff competition in the process with Tammy Beaumont, Olivia Breen, Lizzie Armitstead, Savannah Marshall and Jessica Ennis-Hill also nominated.

In addition to helping Nick Cushing’s side stay top with a crucial assist in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool, the Liverpudlian also made her debut for England’s senior team and netted twice in just her second appearance.

With six goals in 11 games in 2016, the new Lioness declared she is in the form of her life - evident as she carried her creative spark into July, bagging a hat-trick in the 8-0 Continental Cup triumph over Aston Villa and chipping in with an assist.

Congratulations, Nikita!
