City Women's England stars could come up against their Scottish team-mates at next summer’s European Championships.

Karen Bardsley, Steph Houghton, Demi Stokes, Lucy Bronze, Izzy Christiansen, Jill Scott, Toni Duggan and Nikita Parris are all in line to represent the Lionesses at the tournament in Holland – and, if selected, they could face fellow City Blues Jane Ross and Jen Beattie after being drawn alongside Scotland in the group stage.

Spain and Portugal complete the Group D lineup.

Dutch star Tessel Middag will be desperately hoping she is included in the final Dutch squad so that she can play in her home country, with the Netherlands drawn against Norway, Denmark and Belgium in a tough-looking Group A.

And Kosovare Asllani’s Sweden have also been handed a difficult group alongside holders Germany, Italy and Russia.

The full draw is as follows:

Group A: Netherlands (hosts), Norway, Denmark, Belgium

Group B: Germany (holders), Sweden, Italy, Russia

Group C: France, Iceland, Austria, Switzerland

Group D: England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal
