Man City Women's Georgia Stanway has been nominated for the 2016 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.

The youngster has enjoyed a memorable campaign for club and country, helping the Blues to two trophies and captaining England Under-17s to their first World Cup.

With six goals, including a hat-trick against Sunderland and a Nissan Goal of the Season winner against Liverpool, the 17-year-old has played an important role for Super League title.

On the international front, was also the Young Lionesses’ top scorer during the World Cup in Jordan, bagging three goals in four games, as England reached the last eight.

She also featured in every minute of their UEFA Championship games, scoring two and creating an assist.
