Jane Ross says it is a joy for a striker to be part of Nick Cushing’s City side.

The Blues have a 100% record so far in the 2017/18 campaign, winning all nine of their games and scoring an astonishing 34 goals.

Five of those arrived in the Champions League against LSK Kvinner on Thursday night as the domestic treble holders romped to a record away European victory.

Ross bagged two in Norway and declared it’s a dream to be surrounded by so much creativity.

“It’s brilliant,” she told ManCity.com. “We’re playing some good football. It’s fun just to be on the pitch!

“The crosses and deliveries that are being put in and the play in the attacking third is top class at times.

“It’s great that we’ve gone to Norway and put in the performance we did. We came away with five goals and a clean sheet.”

Ross was also pleased to have rewarded the fans who made the trip to Lillestrøm.

“It was amazing,” she added. “It was great to see so many of them there.

“The noise they were making to cheer us on and support us was fantastic.”

Once again, City have little time to reflect on their incredible triumph with Sunday’s visit of Bristol in the Super League.

Ross hinted Cushing may rotate his starting XI slightly amidst a hectic period but hailed the squad’s impressive strength in depth.

“The importance is on recovery now,” she continued.

“We’ve got the squad to allow us to rotate and freshen up for Sunday.

“Then our focus will turn to the Champions League second leg at home [on Thursday night].

“We want to be in the next round and we’ll be wanting to win the next tie as well.”
