The youngster, who was named the North-West Rising Star and earned her first senior call-up to the England squad, helped City to reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 7-1 aggregate triumph over Norwegian outfit LSK Kvinner
The victory ensured the Bluesclinched a last eight spot for the second successive season and the naturally-delighted Walsh believes there is more to come from the domestic treble winners.
On her special week – in particular her national team news, she told press: “It’s amazing.
“I’d like to thank Nick [Cushing], the coaching staff and all the players in the team because obviously, without them, it wouldn’t be possible.
“Every English player wants to play for their national team. It was a really proud moment for me and my family.
“As a team, we (City) set the objective to push on in the Champions League and hopefully progress to the final and bring the trophy back to Manchester.
“To get through to the quarter-finals is an important step for us but we can’t take that too easy as there are no light teams in the quarter-finals.
“We’ve just got to keep our heads down and go on as we have been.”
Izzy Christiansen was on the scoresheet against LSK, netting her sixth goal in as many games and her ninth of the campaign.
Walsh hailed her teammate’s display and also paid tribute to new Lioness teammate Jill Scott.
“Obviously Izzy is in great form,” she added, “but most of the players on the pitch are.
“It makes my job a lot easier when you have players like that scoring and creating goals in front of you.
“Izzy is in great form but you can’t discount the likes of Jill Scott, who has been great as well this season.”
