Mie Jans says she cannot wait to make her first appearance for City.

The Danish defender, who joined the Club in July, is yet to feature for Nick Cushing’s side, having suffered an injury at the Euros this summer.

The 23-year-old was named on the bench in the Blues’ recent games against Oxford and Everton and is excited by the prospect of playing her first minutes for the Club.

“I’m feeling good,” she told ManCity.com. “It’s been a good few days. I can’t wait to make my first appearance.

“It’s been nice to be on the pitch with the girls. I still feel like I need a little more training because I’ve been injured for a long time but we’ll see what happens.

“I think it will depend on the game.

“It’s nice to be here and doing my job finally but it’s been a good time for me here.

“I thought I’d need about half a year to settle and because of my injury, I’ve had plenty of time to do that.

“The girls have been very good in taking care of me and the staff around the team have been very good too.”

City are in Norway ahead of Thursday night’s Champions League clash against LSK Kvinner in the Round of 16.

Jans spoke of the excitement European clashes spark for the players and shared her thoughts on the opposition.

“It’s always nice to play in the Champions League,” she added. “It’s what we play for – the feeling you get when you play in those games is what we’re dreaming of.

“We dream of going all the way to the final so we must take every game very seriously.

“The conditions (at the stadium) are very good, despite the fact it’s a little bit cold!

“LSK are a good team – every team in the Champions League is a good team. They are Norwegian girls so they will have a lot of muscle and they will keep on going every minute.

“We will need to keep the tempo high, play with few touches and of course, score more goals than them.

“We will have to stay on top of the game in every minute if we want to win this game and go forward.

“We are looking forward to the game.”
