Manchester City can confirm Jane Ross and Tessel Middag have left the Club.

The pair, who clocked up 84 appearances between them and helped , have not had their contracts renewed and are free to join other clubs ahead of the newly-restructured 2018/19 season.

Ross made the move to Manchester in November 2015 and went on to become the Blues’ top goalscorer in the 2016 campaign. The Scot was a key component as City earned a first league title and second Continental Tyres Cup success, which was followed by FA Cup glory in May 2017. In total, she bagged 25 goals in 61 games for the Club across all competitions.

A mid-season signing in June 2016, Middag clinched two trophies in her first four months at the Club. The Dutch star’s City career was sadly hampered by a ten-month cruciate ligament injury sustained in the 2017 Spring Series, ahead of the summer’s European Championships in her home country.

All at the Club wish Jane and Tessel the very best of luck for the future and thank them for their contributions over the past two years.
