The defender - the Blues’ fifth Centurion after Steph Houghton, Jill Scott, Izzy Christiansen and Nikita Parris - joined the Blues in January 2015 from French side Montpellier.
Strong and composed in possession with excellent positional nous, Beattie played a key role as Nick Cushing’s side clinched a sensational sweep of domestic trophies: the Super League title, Continental Tyres Cup and FA Cup, in addition to consecutive Champions League semi-finals.

Admired for her bravery and aerial threat, the 27-year-old is a fans’ favourite in the heart of defence, alongside Houghton. She is also a main target when it comes to set-pieces, having scored 11 goals for the Club - most notably, the winner in a Continental Tyres Cup semi-final against her former Club Arsenal in 2016.
During the winter break as the Women’s Super League switched to a new format for 2016, Beattie joined City’s sister club Melbourne City on loan, playing her part as the Australian outfit became the first City Football Group women’s team to lift a league title – and they did so with a 100% record.
Beattie also scored in the Grand Final, bagging the opener, as her side triumphed 4-1 against Sydney..
A stalwart in City’s starting XI since her arrival, the Scot clocked up the most appearances in all competitions in 2017/18 with 36 (along with Keira Walsh), including all 18 league games.
She is also a regular starter for her country and helped Scotland to World Cup qualification for the first time in September.
Earlier this month, she was named the Women’s Player of the Year in the Northwest Football Awards.
