“It took me a while to get a few assists,” she laughed, “but I’m in a slightly different role now and I’m enjoying it.
“It’s a chance to get higher up the pitch and I’ll do anything I can to help the team get three points.
“It was important that we got a professional job done and took three points to put on the board ahead of the big game against Arsenal next weekend.
“We knew Yeovil would be dangerous on the counter-attack and that showed, as they had a few chances.
“The girls just tried to concentrate on our game. We were potent in front of goal and we scored our chances.”
The triumph proved crucial, with Arsenal having extended their lead atop the table with a 4-1 win earlier in the day.
The Gunners will travel to the Academy Stadium next Sunday, boasting a six-point advantage and superior goal difference, ensuring the mouth-watering clash between the league’s two unbeaten sides is simply a must-win for the Blues.
Walsh predicts an exciting clash but asserts her side will not approach the game any differently.
“It’s going to be a good game,” she added. “We both play good football, keeping possession, and it will be a good one for the fans to come and watch.
“We have to concentrate on what we can bring to the game – our strengths – and hopefully, we can get a win at home.”
