The Lionesses kicked off their World Cup campaign with a 2-1 win over tournament debutants Scotland.
An impressive and dominant first half display saw England ahead by two goals at half time.

However, a spirited Scotland performance in the closing 45 minutes meant it was not all plain sailing as Claire Emslie halved the deficit.
Scott completed the 90 minutes of her opening game at her fourth World Cup. She said: “It’s an honour to still be involved in this team.
“To get three points for us was massive and it is a good start.”
The veteran put in a calm and collected performance to complement her well known work rate for both club and country.
She explained: “It’s a performance we have got to build on, but I wouldn’t say I am really disappointed.
“I think at international level, you aren’t always going to get that perfect performance.”
A winning start for the Lionesses but Scott reiterated: “We passed the ball really well in the first half and probably let them in a little bit too much in the second half, but it would have been difficult to get the perfect performance in the first game and as I say the points are the most important thing.”
England will face Argentina on Friday before rounding up Group D against Japan.
