Talk about seeing double…

City and England skipper Steph Houghton couldn’t help taking a leaf out of City and Lionesses colleague Ellen White’s notebook after the pair both found the target against Cameroon as England secured a 3-0 last-16 victory.

Houghton had fired the Lionesses into a 14th minute lead via a fine free-kick.

And then, on the stroke of half-time, White maintained her brilliant form at the World Cup by registering her fourth goal of the tournament, the effort being awarded after a VAR check.
