The Blues overcame the Hammers twice in the Women’s Super League this season, including a 7-1 win at the Academy Stadium back in October, but Cushing isn’t taking Saturday’s opponents lightly.
He said: “In football that’s always a danger, we’ve all seen games when the so-called underdog wins.
“(But) we know the 7-1 game here wasn’t a true reflection of West Ham, we know it will be a difficult game. It’s a final, a one-off game, anyone can win.”
Cushing was also keen not to hide away from the significance of a game in which we could secure a domestic double following February’s Continental Cup victory.
He said: “Every competition we play in we play to win. We’re disappointed with the outcome of the league but we’re proud to have won the Continental Cup and to fight for the FA Cup at Wembely is exciting.”

Nikita Parris was also singled out for particular praise ahead of this weekend’s Wembley showpiece.
The forward’s 19 league goals this season earned her a place in the PFA Super League team of the season as well as the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award.
And Blues boss Cushing felt the accolades were fully deserved: “Nikita has consistently scored big goals, and awards are recognition of her dedication and hunger.
“The reason I love this job is because all you want to do is work with players who want to improve.
“They have a responsibility to be role models and I enjoy working with them every day”.
